PORT TOWNSEND — Peninsula Fiber Artists have installed the walk-by exhibit “Bags! Bags! Bags!” in Port Townsend.
The exhibit will be open 24 hours a day in the Fiber Habit Window, 675 Tyler St., through Jan. 31.
The exhibit includes four dozen bags: hand bags, rice bags, beach bags, totes, a computer bag, bottle bag and a grocery bag.
The bags created by 15 Olympic and Kitsap peninsula artists demonstrate a range of techniques, including eco-dyeing, hand felting, crocheting and patchwork.
Contributors include Port Townsend-based artists Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry, Leslie Dickinson, Angie Dideum, Sue Gale, Kindy Kemp, Debra Olson and Ellen Thomas; Mary Tyler of Port Hadlock; Sequim-based artists Lora Armstrong, Liisa Fagerlund and Susan Melka; Port Angeles-based artists Evette Allerdings, Shari Beals and Merrie Jo Schroeder; and Carol Olsen from Bainbridge Island.
In February and March, the window will display the exhibit “Home Sweet Home.”
