Jefferson Healthcare exhibits new artwork

PORT TOWNSEND — A new influx of art has arrived at Jefferson Healthcare, thanks to six North Olympic Peninsula artists.

All over the hospital, from the main lobby to Lab Services to orthopedics, paintings and photographs have been installed by a team of Northwind Art staff and volunteers.

“This artwork is just stunning, whether it’s ‘Big Pink Sigh’ by painter Musa Jaman or ‘Sunset over Olympus’ by photographer Becky Stinnett,” said Northwind Art communications manager Diane Urbani.

“The art is for patients, hospital staff, visitors — anyone who needs to take a breath and look at something beautiful,” she added.

This new set of 45 works will stay on display until November, when Northwind will rotate in another set.

In addition to Jaman and Stinnett’s pieces, the hospital installation has brought in art by Sandra Offutt, Chris Witkowski, Jeanne Toal and Jinx Bryant.
