Decorated trees on view this weekend at annual festival

PORT ANGELES — Elaborately decorated holiday trees will be on view at the Festival of Trees during Family Days on Saturday and Sunday.

The three-day fundraiser will raise money for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation at the Vern Burton Community Center at 308 E. Fourth St.

Fifty-three trees decorated by area designers and sold with special gifts called premiums will be auctioned off at tonight’s Festival of Trees Gala.

Those trees and 80 wreaths will be on view Saturday and Sunday during Family Days.

New this year will be 12 gingerbread houses — one nearly 3 feet tall — on view only during Family Days.

The annual event is presented by Sequim Health & Rehabilitation.
