PORT TOWNSEND — The Vesper Piano Trio will perform during Candlelight Concerts at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The series, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Taylor St. in Port Townsend, also will be simulcast on KPTZ FM 91.9 and stream at www.trinityumcpt.org.
The concert is free, although a donation of $15 per person is requested.
Half the proceeds will benefit Olympic Neighbors, whose mission is to create home and community for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Vesper Piano Trio will present a program of classical chamber music featuring the works of Joseph Haydn, Jennifer Higdon and Felix Mendelssohn.
The trio is composed of three Seattle natives: violinist Caitlin Kelley, cellist Emily Hu and pianist Thomas Lee.
Individually, they are among the most in-demand classical musicians in the Seattle area, with frequent appearances with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet and the 5th Avenue Theater.
Trio members also have performed in Manhattan, New York, at both Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
