‘Beauty and the Beast Jr.’ to open Thursday

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles High School Thespian Society will produce Beauty and the Beast Jr. beginning Thursday.

The show will be at the high school’s Performing Arts Center, 304 E. Park Ave. in Port Angeles.

Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and $5 for children 10 and younger. Performances will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, plus a 2 p.m. show on Sunday.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman fighting for the life she wishes for, and the Beast, who is actually a prince under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will be lifted, and he will be transformed into his former self.

Thirty-seven Port Angeles High School students will be involved in the production, organizers said.
