Last year the Barn People painted a chair that was auctioned off at ARTjam to benefit the Sequim Food Bank. Each artist painted a part of the chair ‘blind’ — not knowing what everyone else would do. Nearly $800 was raised.

This year, the artists painted a drop wing side table. Each artist was given a piece of the table to decorate as they wished. This years’ finished piece will again be auctioned at ARTjam, with the funds going to the Sequim Food Bank .

The Barn People are Susan Gansert Shaw, who works in paint and pastel; Lynne Armstrong, who “draws” with paint; Mary Franchini, painter; Brian Buntain, a silver-and-goldsmith: Stephen Portner, who mkes fine woodwork; Ross Brown, sculptor and “sky viewing expert;” Sharman Owings, a figurative painter who ws the first-place winner in the 2022 CVG Show; and Linda Collins Chapman, a ceramicist.
