PORT HADLOCK — A show of artwork focused on environmental issues will open at The Gallery @ OAP on Sunday.
A reception for the show at the Old Alcohol Plant at 310 Hadlock Bay Road is set from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature drinks, a zine release, speakers and song.
A group of local artists collaborated “on an immersive show celebrating the grandness and diversity of our ecosystem and the potential for implementing responsible forestry practices in Jefferson County,” organizers said, saying it addresses aerial spraying of chemicals and “growing of genetically modified firs by Pope Resources.”
Contributing artists include Aaron Cyrus Dorr, Josh Hannum, Kira Mardikes, Katie Rissi, Patrick Ryland, Tassie Ryland, Maureen Walrath and Kyra Wiethorn.
