Annual Girls’ Night Out event set for Thursday

PORT TOWNSEND — “Vino and Velvet” is the theme for the 20th Girls’ Night Out event, set for Thursday in downtown Port Townsend.

Starting at 11 a.m., goodie bags will be on sale at Vintage, 725 Water St., for $25 each. Downtown merchants will sponsor special events with in-store promotions.

The bags, 400 of them, have been filled with a variety of gifts from participating merchants and sponsors including socks, scarves, smaller totes, candles and lip balm.

Proceeds from Girls’ Night Out goodie bags sales benefit the Port Townsend Main Street program and the Jefferson Healthcare Foundation to help provide breast and cervical cancer screenings, care and treatment for low-income Jefferson County residents.

This year’s celebration includes a 10-stop Sip and Stroll Wine Walk from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Participating wineries and cideries include Castle and Crown Cellars, Eaglemount Winery, FairWinds Winery, Alpenfire Cider, Fletcher Bay Winery, Hard Hat Winery, Marrowstone Winery, Eaglemount Cidery and Raincoast Winery.

The wine walk costs $40 per person and includes a goodie bag, 10 tasting tickets and a wine glass.

Two hundred tickets are available for Sip and Stroll. Participants are encouraged to purchase online at www.ptmainstreet.org.

Tickets for raffle prizes also will be available for $10 each; prizes include items donated by local businesses. Proceeds benefit the Port Townsend Main Street program.

Raffle winners will be announced at the wrap party from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Vintage.

Participating businesses include About Time, Abracadabra, Gallery 9, Vespertine Boutique, The Clothes Horse, Millstream PT, Brigid’s Loft, Wild Rose & Clove, House of the Faun, Expressions Apparel, The Lively Olive Tasting Bar, Summer House Design, The Green Eyeshade, What’s Cookin’, World’s End, The Wineseller, Coldwell Banker Best Homes, Quimper Mercantile, O’Yummy Frozen Yogurt, Conservatory Coastal Home, Soulful Abundance, Wynwoods Gallery & Bead Studio & Diva Yarn, The Old Whiskey Mill, Magpie Alley, Sand & Stone, The Sacred Portal, The In-Between, Pendragon’s Labyrinth and Zee Tai Collective.
