Port Angeles winery wins medals for its vintages

MISSION, Kan. — Port Angeles winery Camaraderie Cellars was awarded a Jefferson Cup for its 2018 grenache at the 2021 Jefferson Cup Invitation Wine Competition.

The annual competition invites wineries from across the country, and this year’s competition included products from wineries in 27 states.

Of the 750 wines judged during the two-day competition, only 34 wines were awarded Jefferson Cup trophies.

The winery also garnered a double-gold award for its 2018 sangiovese; gold medals for its 2018 cabernet franc and 2019 rugosa rosé; silver medals for its 2017 malbec, 2017 dolcetto and 2017 cabernet sauvignon; and a bronze medial for its 2018 Syrah.
