New Quilcene sign unveiled — what a pearl!

In the photo at right, Linda Herzog of Quilcene shows off a draft of the sign that will be put up at the edge of town as part of a new community park.

Created by artist Anne Ricker, the sign incorporates the town’s new slogan, “The Pearl of the Peninsula.”

The slogan was chosen in April through a town-wide vote.

Herzog, a retired city administrator, has led the Quilcene Conversation, a series of community meetings to gather ideas for improving the town.
