PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Land Trust will host free biking and hiking tours Saturday.
The bicycle tour will start at 9 a.m. at Robin Hill County Park in the Pinnell Road parking lot.
The hiking tour will be at Siebert Creek Conservation Area.
Participants will meet at 10 a.m. at the Olympic Discovery Trail parking lot at the end of Wild Current Way off Gehrke Road.
The tour will visit five properties not usually open to the public that are protected from development through conservation easements.
In addition to visiting the easement properties, there also will be a 1-mile hike at Siebert Creek Conservation Area.
The 38-acre conservation area is owned by the land trust and is open to the public for passive recreational use.
Participants will see the results of a multiyear restoration project that has been taking place on the property.
There will be about 14 miles of biking and 1.5 miles of hiking on the tour.
There are optional routes for the return trip if participants want to make their bike ride longer.
The tours are in honor of National Trails Day.
