PORT ANGELES — Another community dance is set for this Saturday night as the Black Diamond Fiddle Club — a band with plenty more than fiddles — invites everyone out, regardless of previous dance experience.

This is a New England-style contra dance for all ages, which means everyone dances together in lines. Singles, couples and families are welcome.

To warm everybody up, a beginners’ workshop starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the usual venue: the Black Diamond Community Hall, 1942 Black Diamond Road just south of town.

After the workshop, the Black Diamond Fiddle Club will play from 8 p.m. till 11 p.m. as Seattle’s Tom Wimmer serves as the dance caller.

Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for dancers 17 and younger.

For more details about this and other community dances held the first Saturday of each month, phone 360-477-7222.
