SEQUIM –– The Sequim Open Aire Market has changed its name to the Sequim Farmers Market.

After many years of hearing “What’s an Open Aire Market?” the board and membership decided to make the change, market manager Lisa Bridge said in a statement.

Bridge said the hope is that identifying the market as a farmers market will increase the number of farmers who bring produce to sell.

The new “Farmers Market” moniker will appear on the market’s promotions over the coming months, Bridge said.

The market is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the 100 block of West Cedar Street every Saturday until Oct. 26.

Farmers interested in selling produce at the market can phone Bridge at 360-460-2668.
