Car hits pole, blacks out 85 in Dungeness Valley

SEQUIM — Power should be returned by 4 p.m. to about 85 Clallam County Public Utility District customers in the Kitchen-Dick Road area left in the dark this afternoon, said Mike Howe, PUD spokesman.

A car collided with a utility pole at the corner of Woodcock and Kitchen-Dick roads about 12:17 p.m., and power was cut at 1 p.m. while PUD crews replace the pole and make repairs, Howe said.
