Ex-astronaut to talk about shuttle work at Oct. 5 presentation in Port Ludlow

PORT LUDLOW — John Fabian will tell about working on the space shuttle at a presentation at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5.
Fabian, a former astronaut and retired U.S. Air Force colonel, will share his experiences with photos, slides and a short video of his adventures on the space shuttle at the Beach Club, 121 Marina View Drive.
The event is open to the public. The cost is $25, with proceeds going to the Jefferson County Democrats.
Fabian logged more than 300 hours in space and assisted with the development of the shuttle’s robotic arm.
A short question-and-answer period will follow his talk.
Coffee, snacks and light refreshments will be served.
Payment can be made at the door and must be cash or a check made payable to the Jefferson County Democrats with “Fabian” in the memo space.
