UPDATE: Port Angeles man in head-on crash in Kitsap County

POULSBO — Two drivers, one of them a Port Angeles man, went to a hospital following a head-on collision between Poulsbo and Kingston on Saturday.

The State Patrol reported that a 2015 Kia Forte driven by Mark Itti, 24, of Port Angeles apparently crossed the centerline of state Highway 307 about 5 miles north of Poulsbo and collided head-on with a 2000 Lexus RX300 driven by Mark P. Amundson, 36, of Hansville.

Both were taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, troopers reported. The drivers in both cars had no serious complaints of injuries but they were taken to the hospital as a precaution, North Kitsap Fire & Rescue spokeswoman Michele Laboda said.

Although neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the crash, Itti was driving on a suspended license, the State Patrol said.

Highway 307 was blocked for about 90 minutes after the 3:15 p.m. crash while troopers investigated the scene and oversaw cleanup.
