Grief gathering rescheduled

PORT TOWNSEND — The Dying Matters Guild will conduct a community grief gathering at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The non-denominational gathering is in the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave.

The free gathering will provide a space to acknowledge grief and to sit in silence.

The Threshold Choir will sing, there will be some short poems and readings and a list of names of those people we are missing will be read aloud.

Attendees will have the opportunity to light a candle or add a written grief to a collective expression, but no participation is required.

A reception will follow for conversation and community.

Masks are required for all, regardless of vaccination status.

This event was postponed last month due to adverse weather conditions.
