By Viriditas celebration scheduled PORT ANGELES Noah Michale Smith will present Viriditas: A Celebration of Hildegard von Bingen at
7 p.m. Saturday. The concert is part of the Season of Creation at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Lopez Ave. The concert celebrates the Feast Day of St. Hildegard von Bingen and features original music by Smith and poetry presented by Don Corson. Performers include pianist Mark Johnson; hand bell ringers Sunny Chornomaz and Julianna Getzin; and a vocal ensemble called Hildegards Own Singers comprised of sopranos MarySue French, Elizabeth Christian, Kelly Sanderbeck, Sally Adams, Judy Moilanen, Valerie Lape and Mallory Jacobs, and altos Margaret Ruud, Lucy Norwell, Vicki Helwick, Vicki Corson and Bonnie Christianson. Admission is by donation. End of summer PORT ANGELES The public is invited to the End of Summer Fest from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. PORT TOWNSEND — The Rev. Pam Douglas-Smith will present “Christ Beside and Within Us” at 11 a.m. Sunday
The service is at Unity in Port Townsend, 3918 San Juan Ave., and will also stream on Zoom.
Douglas-Smith will also present a Zoom class on the theme of Sacred Compassion at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The theme is part of the church’s larger theme for 2022, which is based on the book “Sacred Earth … Sacred Soul: Celtic Wisdom for Reawakening to What Our Souls Know and Healing the World” by John Philip Newell.
The final chapter of the book, Sacred Journey, will be explored in October.
