PORT ANGELES — Soroptimist International of Port Angeles — Jet Set has announced the winners of it annual Spelling Bee held on March 13 at the Vern Burton Community Center.

The winners are:

• 4th grade: first place, Mya Callis, Olympic Christian school; second place, Chase Wojnowski, Roosevelt Elementary School.

• 5th grade: first place, Miriam Cobb, Franklin Elementary School; second place, Nicky Park, Franklin Elementary School.

• 6th grade: first place, Kylie Brandt, Roosevelt Elementary School; second place, Cade Whitaker, Jefferson Elementary School

• 7th and 8th grade: first place, Liam McBride, Stevens Middle School; second place, Allison Broadwell, Stevens Middle School
