PHOTO: Necessities & Temptations building first to fall in hotel project

PORT ANGELES — Demolition of the former Necessities & Temptations building on Railroad Avenue in Port Angeles began Monday.

The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe is removing five downtown Port Angeles buildings to make room for its $25 million luxury hotel.

Demolition is expected to last about six weeks and might include intermittent one-lane traffic closures and sidewalk shutdowns.
