Jelly Bread band to perform Thursday in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — The Metta Room will host a live performance by Jelly Bread — a self described funk-soul group from Reno, Nev., at 8 p.m. Thursday.

The lounge at 132 E. Front St., will ask for a $5 cover charge for the show for those 21 and older.

Jelly Bread is co-fronted by drummer Cliff Porter, and singer/guitarist Dave Berry. They are backed by Errick Lewis on bass, Sean Lehe on lead guitar and Eric Matlock on keyboards and talk box.

“Here, There &Everywhere,” Jelly Bread’s upcoming album, is due to be released this fall.

The album was mixed by engineer/producer Justin Phelps, who has worked with bands such as Cake, Galactic, Fruition, The Mars Volta, The Neville Brothers and Dead Kennedys.
