PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County Canvassing Board met Monday afternoon to evaluate challenged ballots submitted in the primary election.

Greg Brotherton, left, Rose Ann Carroll and Austin Watkins form this board, which worked with Election Coordinator Quinn Grewell to approve or reject challenged ballots.

At the meeting, there were 54 ballots submitted late, 43 ballots with no signature and eight questionable signatures.

All eight questionable signatures were rejected.

The final ballot count will be certified at the board’s 1 p.m. meeting today.
