Port Angeles Garden Club announces spring Green Thumb Award winner

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Garden Club has announced that Angela Grzabka has received its spring Green Thumb Award.

Grzabka received the award for her efforts to revitalize the landscaping at her 330 E. 12th St. residence.

Grzabka and her husband purchased the house in 2015.

The grounds had fallen into neglect following the 2012 passing of former resident and master gardener Georgetta Larson.

The garden club selects a residential garden for its green thumb award in the spring, the summer and the fall.

In order to be considered, the garden must be planted and maintained by the homeowner without professional landscaping.
