PHOTO: Rhody Festival week has arrived in Port Townsend

Funtastic Carnivals set up its rides and games Monday morning at Memorial Field in Port Townsend after Jefferson County Public Works Parks and Recreation Manager Matt Tyler gave the OK.

“We can’t predict the weather, but it’s looking all right for this week,” Tyler said as he and Rhododendron Festival board member LaDonna Puopolo watched the trucks roll in for the festival’s carnival.

The carnival kicks off Thursday after the Pet Parade.
