Port Angeles: Daishowa mill shutdown begins tonight

PORT ANGELES — Daishowa America officials will begin shutting down mill machinery tonight for a planned two-week work curtailment.

Despite the shutdown, many workers will remain on the job to work on various mill maintenance and other projects.

The paper mill at 102 Marine Drive will reopen July 15, with standard production beginning July 16.
