PORT TOWNSEND — Craddock Davis Verser will become Jefferson County’s third full-time Superior Court judge during a swearing-in ceremony at 3 p.m. today at the courthouse.

Verser, 54, was appointed in February by Gov. Gary Locke from among five lawyer-applicants for the position that pays $108,300 annually.

Verser replaces Judge Thomas J. Majhan, who died of cancer in January. Majhan was beginning the final year of a four-year term.

Verser’s appointed term lasts until the November election.

Verser has said he hasn’t decided if he will seek election in the fall.
