PORT HADLOCK – The area of Port Hadlock, Chimacum and Irondale – called the Tri-Area – has its 2007 citizen of the year – well, two, actually.

Loren Bishop and Carolyn Allen were named the Tri-Area Citizens of the Year before an audience of about 40 at Tuesday’s Port Hadlock/Tri-Area Chamber of Commerce award ceremony.

Also nominated for the award were Joe Lovato and Morris James, owners of Hadlock Building Supply; Reto and Jana Filli, owners of Circle & Square Domestic and Import Auto Care; and Pedro Arceo, owner of Fiesta Jalisco.

“It was a very tough decision, as you can see from the line-up,” said Frances Rawski, president of the Port Hadlock/Tri-Area Chamber of Commerce board.

Both Bishop and Allen, who are cousins, grew up in the area and attended Chimacum High School.
