4.0 quake felt on Peninsula

BRINNON – A minor earthquake registering 4.0 magnitude struck between Quilcene and Brinnon on Monday night.

A Port Angeles resident said he felt the temblor, which caused a table to rock and computer monitors to wiggle.

The University of Washington reported the quake struck at 10:18 p.m. at a depth of about 33.5 miles at an epicenter about halfway between Quilcene and Brinnon.

No injuries or damage were reported.
