Easter egg hunts slated this weekend

Easter egg hunts are set this weekend at venues across the North Olympic Peninsula.
NORDLAND
• The Friends of Fort Flagler will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday at the lower campground at Fort Flagler State Park, 1321 Flagler Campground Road, Nordland.
Children ages 2-14 will be grouped into three age groups so the young ones have better odds.
Feel free to bring baskets.
PORT TOWNSEND
• The Port Townsend Elks Lodge will host its 96th Easter egg hunt at 8 a.m. Sunday at Chetzemoka Park, 1000 Jackson St., Port Townsend.
Kids ages 7-12 should use the west gate area of the park, and those younger than 7 should use the east gate.
Plastic eggs may be turned in for an Easter basket, one per child, and gold and silver eggs can be redeemed for cash prizes, one per child.
A visit by the Easter Bunny is expected.
• The Port Townsend annual Community Egg Hunt for children ages 2-10 will start at noon Sunday at the parish hall at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1020 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
The youngest children will begin hunting first.
Baskets will be provided.

SEQUIM
• Sequim Elks will host an Easter egg hunt for children up to 11 years old at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elks Lodge #2642, 143 Port Williams Road, Sequim.
Children will be placed in three age groups: 0-3, 4-7 and 8-11.
A visit from the Easter Bunny is planned.
JOYCE
• The 23rd Kitchens Family Community Easter Egg Hunt will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, rain or shine, on the playground at Crescent School, 50350 state Highway 112, Joyce.
The hunt is open to children 10 and younger.
Participants should bring their own baskets.

PORT ANGELES
• The 48th KONP Easter Egg Hunt will start at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Clallam County Fairgrounds, 1608 W. 16th St., Port Angeles.
The hunt is for kids 8 and younger.
Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. Participants must bring a filled-out registration slip.
Slips may be picked up in Port Angeles at Swain’s General Store, 602 E. First St.; Fogtown Coffee Bar, 1105 E. Front St.; Strait View Credit Union, 220 S. Lincoln St.; Jim’s Pharmacy, 424 E. FORKS
• The Forks Elks Lodge will host an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday at the ball fields at Tillicum Park on Tillicum Lane in Forks.
Bring a basket to collect eggs. Prizes include, bikes, toys and candies.
There will be three groups: 0-4, 5-8 and 9-12.
A visit by the Easter Bunny is expected.
