TACOMA — The Olympic Peninsula Rowing Association team brought back lots of hardware from the NW Ergomania! indoor rowing event in Tacoma.

In the under-15 500-meter men’s category, OPRA athletes dominated the podium with first place going to Eagle Zuniga in a time of 1 minute, 47.6 seconds, second to Quince Chanway (1:53.3) and third to Airius Ingle (2:05.8). Ryan Halfacre finished fourth in a time of 2:10.1.

In the under-19, 5,000-meter race, Zuniga took third, Ingle fourth and Halfacre fifth.

In the under-15 women’s 2,000-meter race, Peyton Acker was first with a time of 9:29.9. In the under-17 women’s group, Mariah Disque was 10th with a time of 8:37.2.

Cooper Disque was ninth with a time of 7:08.6 in the under-19 2,000-meter race, while Mason Mai was 16th in the men’s under-17 2,000-meter. In the men’s masters E age group, James Lesniak finished second in the 500 meters (1:39.7) and sixth in the 2,000 meters (7:35.9).

Times from regional competitions were combined to create a USRowing Indoor National Championship. In the National Championship, Zuniga was fourth and Chanway fifth out of 20 youths competing throughout the country in the under-15 men’s 500 meters.
