Former Port Angeles Roughrider graduates from Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Port Angeles High School alumna Emma Weller recently graduated from Harvard College in Cambridge, Mass.

Weller received a bachelor of science degree, summa cum laude, with a joint physics and astrophysics concentration during a May 23 commencement ceremony.

Weller also received the Sophia Freund Prize and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

She has been awarded a Sterling Fellowship at Yale University in New Haven, Conn., where she plans to study for a doctorate in astrophysics.
