PORT ANGELES — The Lincoln Park BMX Track has three out of the top six fundraisers in the United States for the Race for Life top earners.

USA BMX and BMX Canada are among the top fundraisers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Each year, riders raise funds for this cause, which began in 1981 to help 12-year-old BMX rider Todd Kingsbury after he was diagnosed with leukemia. Kingsbury died in 1981, but the Race for Life series carries on in his honor.

Lincoln Park BMX rider Chloe Holloway is second in the U.S. as she has raised $5,260 for the Race for Life program this year. Lincoln Park track operator Sean Coleman is No. 3 in the U.S. at $2,565 and rider Liam Winters is No. 6 in the country at $1,125.

The rest of the top 10 Lincoln Park BMX fundraisers include:

8. Kasten Alton, $642
