PORT TOWNSEND — “Burst of Color,” an exhibition by textile artists at Northwind Art’s downtown gallery, is being held over for an additional two weeks.

The show, on view at Jeanette Best Gallery, 701 Water St. in Port Townsend, will stay on display through Feb. 25. It was previously scheduled to close Feb. 11.

The gallery is open from noon to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays.

“‘Burst’ is such a hit,” said Northwind Art spokesperson Diane Urbani. “People are loving the quilts, hats, pillows and wrapped rocks. Then there are the beaded bird sculptures and the hawk headdress.”

The show’s 75 works were made by fiber artists who hail from Clallam, Jefferson and Kitsap counties.
