PORT ANGELES — State Rep. Mike Chapman is quarantining in his home after coming down with COVID-19.

He has tested positive and is feeling very ill, he said in an email sent Tuesday.

Chapman, who lives in Port Angeles, has canceled all in-person meetings for at least the next two weeks.

He said he has no idea where or when he was exposed.

“Thank goodness, I’m vaxed and boosted or I might be in real trouble,” he said.

Chapman, a Democrat, represents the 24th Legislative District with Rep. Steve Tharinger, D-Port Townsend, and Sen. Kevin Van De Wege, D-Sequim.

The 24th District covers Clallam and Jefferson counties and part of Grays Harbor County.
