Workshops offered free at Fort Worden

PORT TOWNSEND — AmeriCorps service members will present two free workshops Sunday.

Anna Marchand will lead an intermediate-level botany walk from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Participants will learn native plant identification and botanical terms.

Nate Rees will discuss the operation of the gun batteries on Artillery Hill and explore the life of the soldiers who manned them from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
