RAINIER — While it has been a truncated season for prep wrestling tournaments, the Sgt. Justin Norton Memorial Tournament, one of the biggest meets in Washington, was held this weekend, with Forks taking first place.

The Spartans won nine weight classes to win the Sgt. Norton. Montesano came in second and Vashon Island third.

Winning their weights were Matthew Montes (106), Jesus Garcia Dominguez (113), Conner Demorest (120), Dalton Kilmer (126), Walker Wheeler (138), Colton Duncan (145), Jake Weakley (160), Hayden Queen (182), Hayden Baker (195).

William Perez (132), Aiden Ivey (182) and Sloan Tumaua (220) finished second in their weights, while Walker Rondeau (132), Nate Dahlgren (170) and Sebastian Qunneke (182) finished third.

Forks was third at the event in 2020 and won it in 2019.
