Bill Fitzsimmons wins summer Green Thumb award

The Port Angeles Garden Club has announced that Bill Fitzsimmons won its summer Green Thumb award.

Fitzsimmons received the award for excellence in landscaping at his 522 Liberty St. residence.

The garden club selects a residential garden for its Green Thumb Award in the spring, the summer and the fall.

In order to be considered, the garden must be planted and maintained by the homeowner without professional landscaping.
