The sun rises through a layer of smoke and marine air at Port Angeles City Pier on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020.

Smoke from wildfires in Oregon and Northern California was pushed north by prevailing winds, creating a layer of haze over much of Western Washington.

Air quality in Clallam and Jefferson counties remained good, according to the Olympic Region Clean Air Agency.
