The group was taking part in Coastal Cleanup Day 2019, an annual worldwide event to clean beaches and advocate for trash-free oceans, lakes and rivers. Volunteers spread out on beaches across the North Olympic Peninsula on Saturday, picking up refuse for eventual disposal.
