Attendees at the Ban Nuclear Weapons event Tuesday in Port Townsend sit in a poetry circle, sharing verse and songs about nuclear bombs dropped on Japan on the anniversary of the U.S. bombing of Hiroshima. A similar gathering is set Friday on the anniversary of the nuclear bomb dropped on Nagasaki.
