PORT ANGELES — Olympic Medical Center has announced that it has been designated as CNOR Strong by the Competency and Credentialing Institute.

CNOR Strong designation is awarded to hospitals where 50 percent or more of the operating nurses have CNOR peri-operative certification.

Five operating room nurses at the center recently earned their CNOR certification. They are Laurie Whicher, Heidi Mattern, Sarah Winfield, DeAnn Pype and Ellen Adams.
