Fort Worden meeting will talk boat ramp, pier

PORT TOWNSEND — the state Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a public meeting from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 10.

The meeting will be held in Room A the Commons Building, 210 Battery Way.

The purpose for the meeting is to present Parks’ plans to replace the boat launch ramp with one that is more compatible with the shoreline ecology and to discuss the future of the pier, including the marine science center currently housed on it.

The commission is requesting public comments at the meeting on its preliminary recommendations.
