El día de los Niños celebrated Monday

Port Angeles and Forks public libraries will participate in El día de los Niños — or Children’s Day — on Monday.

Various activities will be available for youth at the Port Angeles library, 2210 S. Peabody St. at 6 p.m.; and the Forks Library at 171 S. Forks Ave. from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

In Forks, the celebration will feature games and treats.

In Port Angeles, Eli Rosenblatt will perform a bilingual music set.

Each youth that participates in the library system’s events will receive a free book in honor of the holiday.
