PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College plans a variety of events in honor of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The events are part of Dream Month, said Kari Desser, college communication coordination specialist.

“The birth month of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be a time for reflection, awareness and discussion of opportunities for equity and social justice at Peninsula College,” Desser said.

All are free and open to the public.

The first event is today.

“Princess Angeline” by Makah filmmaker Sandra Osawa will be screened at 7 p.m. in the Little Theater at the Port Angeles campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

The film highlights the continued efforts of the Duwamish people to gain federal recognition.
