EYE ON JEFFERSON: Chimacum School Board to consider bond ballot language Tuesday

The Chimacum School Board will consider approval of ballot language for a $29.1 million bond measure request when they meet Tuesday.

The special meeting will begin at 7:45 a.m. in the administration building, 91 West Valley Road.

District officials plan to put the bond proposal on the Feb. 10 ballot.

District officials have said the bond, if approved by voters, would fund an addition to the Chimacum Creek Primary School and new athletic facilities.

Port Townsend city

The Port Townsend Planning Commission Design Review Subcommittee will discuss plans for a new building when it meets Monday.

The meeting will be from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the third-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.

The structure is proposed as a 5,124-square-foot building to contain a wine processing facility and tasting room in the Upper Sims Way area.

The Port Townsend City Council does not meet this week.

Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.

Other city committee meetings are:

■   Climate Action Committee — 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Cotton Building, 607 Water St.

■   Historic Preservation Committee — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in the third-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.

Public Utility District

JeffersonCounty Public Utility District commissioners are scheduled to meet Tuesday.

The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at 250 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock.

Jefferson Healthcare

Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will hold their regular meeting at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Jefferson Healthcare Conference Room, Suite 302, on the third floor at 2500 W. Sims Way.

The Jefferson County commissioners do not meet this week.
