STATE VOLLEYBALL UPDATE: Quilcene claims sixth place; Neah Bay falls one win shy of trophy game

YAKIMA — Quilcene placed sixth at the Class 1B state volleyball tournament Saturday at the Yakima Valley SunDome.

The Rangers began the day with a four-set win over Odessa-Harrington 25-22, 25-16, 18-25, 25-13.

Then, in the fifth-place game, they fell 3-1 to St. John-Endicott 25-14, 26-24, 12-25, 25-17.

Earlier Saturday, Neah Bay came up one win shy of a state trophy, losing to Riverside Christian 25-23, 25-20, 25-16.
