THE FENCE BORDERING Marysville Pilchuck High School along 108th Street NE in Marysville has become a living memorial to the students killed and injured in the Oct. 24 shooting at the school.

Silence prevails over the space as students, parents and members of the extended community arrive at the wall to weave flowers into its links or place a handwritten note.

People speak in whispers, wipe tears, pray, hug. People stroll its length. There is much to absorb.

The (Everett) Herald has posted a panoramic image of the memorial fence.

It was made by digitally stitching together over 60 individual photographs taken in succession on Wednesday morning, Oct. 29.
