WEEKEND: Fundraiser workouts for ‘Pink Up’ on Saturday

Pink Up fundraiser set in PA

PORT ANGELES — Storm King CrossFit fitness center will hold a fundraiser workout for Pink Up Port Angeles from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday

CrossFit, 304 W. Front St., will offer three WOD (Workout of the Day) options: one for existing CrossFit participants, another for walk-ins and a third for children.

Each WOD will be designed to accommodate all fitness levels and will last no longer than 15 minutes.

To participate, a minimum donation of $5 is required.

Storm King CrossFit also has been participating in an ongoing fundraiser for the Pink Up campaign by selling $30 T-shirts at the fitness center.

More than 225 special pink T-shirts have been sold so far.

Storm King also has donated $1,000 to the cause.

Newcomers’ Club

PORT ANGELES — The Newcomers’ Club of the Olympic Peninsula will host a Thanksgiving buffet Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Joshua’s Restaurant, 113 Del Guzzi Drive.

Socializing begins at 11:30 a.m.

The featured speaker this month is Reed Aubin, program manager for education of the North Olympic Salmon Coalition.

Aubin will explain the plans for the 3 Crabs area of Dungeness, including plans to remove the buildings and restore marshland.
