Sequim forum Oct. 8 to focus on coverage of health insurance

SEQUIM — Phil Castell of Castell Insurance will present a free WOW! Working on Wellness forum on health insurance at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8.
He will present “Health Insurance & Other Fun Things” at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.
Plan changes can be made from Oct. 1 to Dec. 7 for those on Medicare. Open enrollment begins Nov. 15 for the Affordable Care Act.
Castell will discuss Medicare Part D upgrades and Medicare Advantage, both of which will change in 2015.
He also will talk about the changes and new plans coming to the Affordable Care Act in 2015, as well as schedules and deadlines, tips to avoid problems and where to turn for help.
Castell owns and operates Castell Insurance in Sequim, an independent insurance agency offering auto, home, health and investment services.
He has been a licensed insurance agent in Washington since 1987. He specializes in assisting people in navigating the health insurance marketplace.
WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of the Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness clinic, Sequim’s free clinic.
The clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members beginning at 5 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.
The clinic is supported by more than 70 volunteers and by private and public donations.
