Free discussion on Parkinson’s scheduled today

PORT ANGELES — The Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation will present a free program this afternoon on lifestyle management for people with Parkinson’s disease.
“How Exercise and Diet can Improve Symptoms and Promote Long-Term Functions for Anyone with a Brain” is the name of the discussion with Dr. Pat Hogan and registered dietitian Joan Hogan from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elwha Klallam Heritage Center, 401 E. First St.

Specialized dance
A specialized dance class for people with Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, acute arthritis or stroke-related issues will then be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sons of Norway Hall, 131 W. Fifth St.
The cost for the 90-minute class is $10, while caregivers are invited to participate free.
